Candidates participating in general elections can submit nomination papers till December 24, Election Commission
The submission of nomination papers has been extended by two days. The Election Commission has said that the candidates participating in the general elections can submit their nomination papers till December 24. According to the current schedule of the Election Commission, the candidates could submit their nomination papers from December 20 to 22. JUI-F, MQM had demanded extension of the date of nomination papers from the Election Commission.
Pakistan Muslim League-N also requested the Election Commission to extend the date of nomination papers. The PML-N has written a letter to the Election Commission for a further extension of 2 days. For this purpose, the letter was written by Ishaq Dar, Chairman of the Election Cell of the PML-N. It is February, 2 more days should be given for submission of nomination papers as candidate needs more time for submission of nomination papers and NOC, candidate also has to get NOCs for papers so time increased. And if the Election Commission extends 2 days to submit the documents, it will be easy for the candidates.
Likewise, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam F has also demanded an extension of the date of receipt of nomination papers from the candidates for the upcoming general elections from the Election Commission. wrote a letter to, in which he demanded that 3 days be extended for receipt of nomination papers as political parties have to distribute party tickets to candidates, reduction of scrutiny time to increase the time of receipt of nomination papers. We are fully satisfied with the other election schedule, which could be reduced from 7 to 4 days to allow polling on February 8.
