Indian aggression, funeral prayers offered for 7-year-old son of Lt. Col. Zaheer Abbas Turi

The funeral prayers of 7-year-old Irtza Abbas Turi, son of Lt. Col. Zaheer Abbas Turi, who was martyred as a result of unprovoked Indian aggression in the Dawarandi area of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, were offered in Islamabad today.

The funeral prayers were attended by President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information, General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff, senior serving and retired military officers, government and civilian officials, soldiers and a large number of relatives of the martyr.

After the funeral prayers, the Prime Minister condemned India’s unprovoked aggression and said that deliberately targeting innocent civilians, including children, women and the elderly, is a cowardly act. They stressed that such reckless acts reflect the aggressive and belligerent mindset of the Indian government, which poses a serious threat to regional and global peace.

The President and the Prime Minister reiterated that the valiant armed forces of Pakistan are confronting the Indian forces on all fronts with full resolve and are giving a strong and uncompromising response. They reiterated that decisive action will be taken against these blatant violations of international law and humanitarian principles.

The President and the Prime Minister prayed that Allah Almighty grant eternal peace to the souls of those who lost their lives in this brutal Indian aggression and grant their families the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
