In Abbottabad area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 9 members of the same family were buried under the debris due to the collapse of the roof of the house, out of which 7 died. According to media reports, this tragic incident of fire in Abbottabad took place in Teriri village of Qalandabad in Abbottabad, where women and children were among those who died due to short circuit in the house.

The rescue authorities have said that the house collapsed due to the fire, under the debris of which 9 members of the same family were buried, in which the bodies of 7 have been removed while the search for 2 persons is ongoing. All 7 people including women and children died due to burns.

A similar incident happened a few weeks ago in Lahore, the capital of Punjab province, where 10 members of the same family were killed in a fire. 10 people died in the fire, all of them were from the same family.

Rescue officials said that the fire in the house started due to a short circuit, as a result of which the dead included 3 women and a man at 6 o'clock. Then the cooling process was started. Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi expressed regret over the death of 10 people due to fire in the house. Mohsin Naqvi ordered a full investigation into the house fire incident.
