It has been reported that for the next 15 days, petrol and kerosene prices are expected to decrease by more than one rupee from January 1, while the prices of high-speed diesel and light diesel may increase by two rupees. It is being told that in the year 2023, an increase of 116 rupees 58 paisa was recorded in the prices of petroleum products in the country, despite the decrease in the value of the rupee against the dollar in 2023, due to the increase in the levy under the IMF conditions and The increase in crude oil prices in the global market is the reason for the increase in the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan.
According to the report, the prices of petroleum products increased by 116 rupees 58 paise this year, during this period, the levy on petroleum products was increased by 30 rupees per litre, diesel by 30 rupees and the levy on petrol by 10 rupees per litre. 60 per litre of diesel and petrol is levied at the rate of Rs.60 per litre.
