Among other major changes in the national team, Pakistan's Muhammad Rizwan will replace Sarfaraz Ahmed as wicketkeeper for the second Test against Australia. The five-day Boxing Day Test will begin on December 26 (Tuesday) in Melbourne, a haven for fast bowlers.
Sources say that the next match may see several changes in the Pakistan playing XI, after the exclusion of the injured Khurram Shehzad, there will be a tough battle between Hasan Ali and Mir Hamza for a place in the team.
Sources say that there was no possibility of Wasim Jr joining the team for the Melbourne match. Meanwhile, Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafiq will continue to open the innings. Sources say that there are bright possibilities of dropping all-rounder Faheem Ashraf and giving off-break bowler Sajid Khan.
