    Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has issued guidelines for submitting nomination papers of candidates in the upcoming general elections. According to the details, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has instructed the party ticket aspirants to submit their nomination papers and said that the tickets for the February 8 election will be finalized in the next two weeks, without waiting for the candidate ticket till December 22.     The guidelines state that it is not necessary for the candidate to be present for receiving or submitting the papers or for scrutiny, PTI candidates must ensure the security of their recommender and endorser, party ticket must be attached while submitting the nomination papers.     In this regard, the Election Commission says that a candidate can submit a maximum of five nominations with different recommenders and endorsers. The fee for submitting nomination papers for a candidate for a seat in the National Assembly is 30 thousand rupees. , the fee for one nomination form is Rs.100, the fee for a candidate for a provincial assembly seat is Rs.20,000 non-refundable.


    The Election Commission has informed that the nomination papers can be submitted to the concerned Returning Officer office hours from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm from December 20 to 22. Attested copies must be attached along with the nomination papers along with the vote certificate issued by the Election Commissioner of the candidate's recommender and endorser.

    The ECP has said that the candidate shall attach the income tax return of the last three years with the nomination papers, a complete copy of the passport of the candidate shall be attached with the nomination, the nomination papers fee by the candidate. Cash can be deposited directly at the Returning Officer or through Bank Draft in the name of the Returning Officer or at any National Bank branch, in case of bank deposit, the candidate will attach the receipts along with the nomination.

    It is learned that the last date for submission of nomination papers is December 22, scrutiny of nomination papers will be from December 24 to 30 and objections can be filed till January 3, appeals against nomination papers will be heard till January 10. The revised list will be released on January 11, 2024, election symbols will be allotted to the candidates on January 13, while the general elections across the country will be held on February 8, 2024.
