Election Commission's decision to challenge the order to return the 'bat' symbol

The Election Commission will file an intra-court appeal in the Peshawar High Court, requesting the Peshawar High Court to lift the injunction on the PTI intra-party elections.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to challenge the order to return the symbol of 'bat' to Tehreek-e-Insaf. The Election Commission will file an intra-court appeal in the Peshawar High Court. An important consultation meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Election Commissioner on the issue of election symbol of bat to PTI. The Election Commission has decided to fight a legal battle against the decision of the Peshawar High Court.

The Election Commission will request the Peshawar High Court to lift the ban on PTI intra-party elections. Sources say that the Election Commission has little chance of getting relief from the Supreme Court. In the meeting, the issue of suspension of the Election Commission's order appointing Irfanullah as Returning Officer of Peshawar High Court KPK 91 Kohat 2 was also reviewed.

It has been decided in the meeting that the Election Commission will file an appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Peshawar High Court. 

After the above order of Peshawar High Court, now this constituency is technically without a Returning Officer and it is becoming difficult for the Election Commission of Pakistan to conduct elections in these circumstances.
