    10-day physical remand of Fawad Chaudhry approved in NAB case



    Judge Muhammad Bashir of the Accountability Court pronounced the decision regarding the physical remand of the former federal minister

     The accountability court approved the 10-day physical remand of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in the NAB case. According to the details, the Accountability Court in Islamabad heard a case related to fraud in the construction and land purchase of Lilla, Pind Dadan Khan, Jhelum two-way road, where the Accountability Court approved the 10-day physical remand of Fawad Chaudhry. Judge Muhammad Bashir pronounced the decision regarding the physical remand of the former federal minister and the accountability court handed over Fawad Chaudhry to the custody of NAB for 10 days.

    Earlier, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the NAB case against Fawad Chaudhry in Adiala Jail, during which the NAB prosecutor said that the arrest warrant has been complied with, order production so that he can be presented to the court for physical remand. The accused is in judicial custody, the accused must be produced in court within 24 hours of arrest.


    In his remarks on this occasion, Judge Muhammad Bashir said that 'after arresting the accused, he is now in the custody of NAB, all you can say to the jail superintendent is to allow you to bring the accused to the court, you can amend your application. Resubmit and apply for permission to bring Fawad Chaudhry to court.


    Later, the NAB prosecutor submitted an amended application to the court, on the basis of which the NAB's request was accepted, but the court issued the production order of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry and Judge Muhammad Bashir directed that Fawad Chaudhry Court should be produced from Adiala Jail.
