Haris Rauf Expresses Frustration Over Criticism After Pakistan's Defeat in Second T20I

Fast Bowler Slams Criticism from Former Cricketers

Following Pakistan's defeat to New Zealand in the second T20 International, fast bowler Haris Rauf voiced his frustration with the constant criticism from former cricketers. In a press conference after the match, Rauf made it clear that he felt people in Pakistan are waiting for the national team to lose, just so they can criticize their performance.

    Acknowledging New Zealand’s Tough Conditions

Rauf acknowledged that New Zealand's playing conditions are not easy, adding that each player is putting in their best effort. "New Zealand's conditions are challenging, but every player is trying to give their 100 percent," he said. Despite the challenges, Rauf pointed out that the Kiwi batsmen played some good shots and, at times, were fortunate.

Supporting Young Players for Future Growth

Responding to a question about the team's performance, Rauf emphasized the importance of supporting young players. He highlighted that without backing these emerging talents, Pakistan's cricketing future would be in jeopardy. "If we do not support the young players, how can we move forward?" he asked. "They have earned the opportunity to play for Pakistan, and it will take them time to adapt."

Rauf went on to explain that transitioning from domestic to international cricket is tough, and the young players need time to understand the conditions and perform under pressure.

Pakistan Falls to New Zealand in the Second T20I

It is worth noting that Pakistan suffered a five-wicket loss to New Zealand in the second T20 match, which has given New Zealand a 2-0 lead in the series.
