    The main highways of Islamabad, Serena Chowk, Shahrah Dastur and Faizabad, have been blocked by placing containers. While enforcing Section 144 across the city, the processions are also banned, the way to and from Islamabad has been blocked by erecting containers on the Faizabad bridge.


    After the protest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and Jamaat-e-Islami's announcement of dharnaday in the federal capital Islamabad, the government imposed Section 144 in Islamabad and sealed the red zone. 

    Containers were delivered at Nadra Chowk, Sarina Chowk, Express Chowk in Islamabad. Police say that no protest is allowed in the capital due to the implementation of Section 144.

    Obstacles have been erected on important roads. The main highways of Islamabad, Sarina Chowk, Shahrah Dastur and Faizabad, have been blocked by placing containers. 

    By imposing Section 144 across the city, the assembly and processions have also been banned. The way to and from Islamabad has been blocked by erecting containers on the Faizabad bridge, while heavy police force will also be deployed on the Rawalpindi side.


    Before the protest of Jamaat-e-Islami and PTI, Section 144 has been implemented in Punjab for 3 days. It has been reported that there are containers for sealing by the police and at certain places on G-road as well. 

    Containers are parked on roadsides to be used for sealing when required. If necessary, GT Road will be closed by erecting barricades near Bhai Khan Bridge and Mandira Toll Plaza.

    Rawat T Chowk is also expected to be a selling point by the Islamabad Police. The Islamabad Police has also installed containers on the link road of the motorway coming from Lahore and Peshawar. Only one vehicle is being allowed to enter Islamabad. 

    The Punjab Interior Department says that any public gathering can be a soft target for terrorists in view of the security threats in the current situation.
