Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was arrested in 12 cases. According to the details, the police presented Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the duty magistrate's court. Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf was presented in the court of Duty Magistrate Syed Jahangir Ali.

On this occasion, the prosecution team told the court that 12 cases have been registered against Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Rawalpindi district on the incidents of May 9, he has been arrested in 12 cases, GHQ attack, Army Museum attack, sensitive institution. Shah Mehmood Qureshi is also named as an accused in the cases of office attack, burning of metro bus station, simultaneous investigation should be allowed in all the cases, for which physical remand of 6 days has been requested in all the 12 cases.

In his statement before the judicial magistrate, the former foreign minister said that SHO Jamal punched and kicked me, SHO Ashfaq Cheema abused me, I had pain in my chest but still kept me in a cold room last night. Went where they didn't let me sleep, woke me up repeatedly by turning on the lights for which noise was made, tortured me mentally and physically.

It is being told that former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was first arrested by the police in the May 9 GHQ attack case. 

Requested Rawalpindi to end detention orders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader, on the request of police officials, DC Rawalpindi withdrew Shah Mahmood Qureshi's detention orders, after he was released from jail after the detention orders were lifted.
