Come back after performing Hajj by spending 6,000 rupees... How did Pakistan benefit from the Safina-e-Hujjaj-e-Bahri ship and how did it help the poor? Interesting information.

There was a time when pilgrims from Pakistan used to travel to Mecca and Medina by sea through the Hajj ships, buses and ships were means of transport, and emotions and feelings were different.

In this news article on our website, we will tell you about it. Although in today's era, the airplane is seen as a travel convenience for pilgrims and Umrah visitors, but there was a time when people used to reach Mecca and Medina in buses and ships including Pakistanis from all over the world.

It was a time when sincerity, love, unity, and brotherhood were present among people, and there was no pride or arrogance among them.

At that time, it was considered a duty to help each other, and the Hajj ships like the Safina-e-Hujjaj would cut through the waves of the sea, taking pilgrims to the city of Mecca.

The last time a ship from Karachi took pilgrims to Jeddah was in 1994, from where they entered the city of Mecca.

Mohammad Ramadan of Machharay Karachi was also on the same ship, which was taking pilgrims to perform Hajj.

Mohammad Ramadan says that my first trip towards Mecca was via sea route in 1974. The 92-year-old Mohammad Ramadan gave this interview to Arab News in 2020.

He said that I had bought a ticket for Rs. 6,000, although you reach your destination in a few hours by air travel, but you have to spend 7 days and 7 nights on the sea route.

When leaving Karachi, he also brought his ration with him, which was also used on the ship, and gave it to his friends as well, which was a common practice at that time.
